Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

A December To Remember

We didn’t just put the ‘mo in homo; we also put the ‘mo in more. Gay List Daily has rounded up an uber collection of outings fit for a queen (drag or otherwise). We promise no Christmas sweaters, flocked trees or stale cheese balls at any of these over-the-top affairs.

A Masked Holiday – 3rd Annual Holiday Event
Tonight, 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Imagine finding the future Mr. Right hiding behind a peacock feather mask. Oops, did we out your secret fantasy? Well, the cat is out of the bag now, so you might enjoy a night of networking, celebration and dancing compliments of the North Texas GLBT Chamber and the Dallas Tavern Guild. Even if you can’t live out your romance novel naughtiness, there’s food, drink specials, door prizes and an American Airlines 2+2 Raffle.

Tickets $20 at the door
Club Cirque
1930 Pacific Avenue, Dallas

“Children Will Listen” – Turtle Creek Chorale
Begins Friday, December 7, 7:30 p.m.
Hmmm, is this a case of false advertising? Children, as a whole, really don’t listen. But perhaps the music of the TCC boys, accompanied by the Richardson All District Elementary Choir, has soothed the savage beasts. Guess you will have to find out for yourself. We’ll be at the free clinic getting our cooties shot.

Tickets $23-50
Majestic Theatre
1925 Elm Street, Dallas

“A Broadway Christmas Carol”
Through Saturday, December 8
If you speak fluent Show Tune (and who doesn’t, really), this is certainly the show for you. A send up to the Dickens classic with nods to Broadway faves like Annie, Cats and Les Miserables, we would have our Gay List Daily cards revoked if we didn’t spread the word about this nelly of a production.

The Labyrinth Theatre
1400 West Arapaho Road, Richardson

WeihnachtsFest (ChristmasFest) at GermanDeli’s
Southlake Store
Sunday, December 9, 9 a.m. to noon
Good ol’ Germany, it has produced more than just Heidi Klum and Hedwig. Experience the best and the wurst of the hinterland, including handmade Bavarian Nutcrackers, a Gingerbread Creation Competition and Gluhwein, a heated red wine with cinnamon and citrus. Okay, that last one teeters on alcohol abuse, but we will trust that it’s delicious.

Free Admission
2890 Market Loop, Southlake

Are You Smarter Than A Drag Queen?
Tuesday, December 11, 6:30 & 10 p.m.
Perhaps it should be re-titled “Are You Tougher Than a Drag Queen?,” except there would be no contenders (those press-on nails can cause a wicked staph infection). For a tamer route, go head-to-wig against local gender illusionists Ivana Tramp and Wayne “Cher” Smith in this interactive trivia game show that tests contestants’ knowledge of music, movies, games and entertainment.

Free Admission
3851 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas
