Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Are You Ready To Wok?

Any foodie worth their saffron-infused salt knows that sometimes you have to trade a little ambience for a lot of flavor when seeking dining that’s off the trendy eatery radar. Such is the case with Bistro B, a deliciously authentic Vietnamese restaurant with a penchant for large-screen digital TVs playing Asian karaoke shows and Power Ranger episodes throughout your meal.

Now fair warning: first-time diners to the B may find the extensive, multi-page menu and limited English descriptors daunting. But fear not, as the mouth-watering meal options are also coded by number. After a little trial and error, you’ll be able to rattle off digits to your server faster than you can give your number out to that cute guy those cute guys at the bar.

Our faves include: Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce (#206); Tamarind Sauce Chicken (#545); Buddha Delight (#217); and for dessert, a Vietnamese coffee, which is about 127 parts sweetened condensed milk to one part java. The truly adventurous can round out the meal with a Bubble Tea, assuming your gag reflex won’t kick in while sucking down viscous liquid laced with surprise tapioca fragments.
