Ever since we set fire to our P.E. coach’s office back in 7th grade, we’ve always viewed summer school as some sort of punishment. But unlike our stint in the public-ed clink, the summer classes we’re attending this year include booze, glorious booze!
The Summer Series Cooking Classes with Chef Jay Valley from eatZi’s are a great way to learn to prepare some tasty recipes and taste the lip-smacking results, washed down by an appropriate beverage pairing.
Tonight’s class, for example, is Sure-Fire Salads and Chardonnay. Another week, Salsas and Sangria. Personally, we can’t wait for Sweets and Champagne, but we can be girly that way sometimes.
Not only will you be learning from a great chef, but you’ll also get to take home a booklet with all the recipes from the class so you can wow your friends with your newfound culinary expertise. But the best part is that the entire $50 registration fee goes to Hunger Busters “Feed The Need — After School Program.”
Finally, a night of drinking where somebody other than the bail bondsman benefits.
