Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

It Tastes A Village

We’re always looking for an excuse to eat, which leads us to hours at the gym, extra sessions with our personal trainer and a closet full of Suzanne Somers exercise contraptions. It’s the only way we keep our manly girlish figures and we stimulate the economy at the same time. Well, now our voracious appetites for great food will not only pay for our trainer’s new Mercedes, it will also help feed families in need.

Tonight, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., head to A Taste of West Village and sample food from many of the shopping district’s finest restaurants. Participants of this event include Cork Wines, Cru Wine Bar, Grimaldi's Pizzeria, Lazare, Mi Cocina, Paciugo Gelato, PD Johnson's, Social House, Starbucks and Taco Diner.

In other words, just our typical Saturday night dinner reservation.

Make a donation at the North Texas Food Bank table and every dollar provides four meals for North Texans in need. Make a $5 donation and you’ll be entered to win dinner for four at one of the participating West Village Restaurants. It’s a Win-Win-Wipe-Your-Chin situation.

Live music will cover the sounds of growling stomachs, so even those of us on the one-week cleanse diet of nothing but filtered rain water and three pomegranate arils per day can still have a good time. Come say hi. We’ll be the ones in the corner rocking back and forth to the music while softly chanting, “Mambo Taxi. Mambo Taxi. Mambo Taxi.”

Just keep on walking and eat as much as you want. Don’t worry about us.
