Close to the top of our Naughty List is the word “buffet.” There’s something about a sneeze guard that sorta ruins the whole “eating” experience.
Plus, if we actually ate “all we could eat,” we’d have to cut the seams in our skinny jeans and wear them as a long denim skirt. And there ain’t nothin’ good coming out of that.
In theory, however, we like the concept of a buffet because it’s all about tasting a variety of dishes without spending a fortune in the process. That’s why we heart Savor Dallas. We get to try a lot of food. And wine. And champagne.
Sure, it’s not until March, but now’s the time to buy passes because tickets are significantly discounted now until New Year’s Eve.
Events for the weekend of March 5 – 7, 2010, include an Arts District Wine Stroll, three Wine Tasting Seminars, a Reserve Tasting and International Grand Tasting, a Sunday FunDay at the Dallas Farmers Market, and our personal favorite: a Private VVIP Lounge. (Yes, as in a space just for Very, Very Important People—like us!)
Basically, it’s three days of food and wine from the best restaurants and chefs in town and the best wineries in the world. Pick and choose which events you’d like to attend, or go for the All Access Weekend Pass (a $475 value for just $375 through December 31, 2009).
Enjoy cutting-edge cuisine from more than 60 top chefs and 400 premium wines,
select spirits and imported beers. Really, Savor Dallas is like the gay Christmas. We look forward to it all year, hope to get everything we want, and typically end up face-first in a potted plant because of a wee bit too much champagne.
Individual Event Tickets start at just $25
