It was once known for looking good wrapped around our asses, but now it’s ready to look good under them.
While not quite a riddle (hint* a possible answer includes a top who’s learned a few new positions from the gay Kamasutra), Diesel’s new line of home furnishings, Design by Diesel, leaves us questioning why the brand didn’t branch out sooner.
As comfortable in a gay man’s closet as Roy Ashburn, Larry Craig, et al, Diesel has been outfitting our svelte bodies with its edgy Italian designs for decades. Now Diesel is ready to impact our lives even further by infiltrating our homes with pieces as impossible to resist as an open bar or a glance across the showers on the day the local water polo team is practicing at the Y.
While Diesel’s lifestyle collection touches upon as many areas in our home as men have touched upon various areas of us while wearing its denim, a few things in particular stick out (of the furniture collection, not our jeans):
Diesel’s leather studded bar stool (pictured). No explanation necessary.
The Nebula Nine Sofa, inviting and deep, just like we like our… cocktails.
A leather studded mirror on a sling, dubbed the “Ego mirror.” Think Tom of Finland meets Tom Ford.
The entire Design by Diesel collection is in aesthetic harmony with the brand’s clothing, boasting edgy, unconventional materials with fashion forward consciousness.
In fact, the little bit rock and roll line is the perfect balance to the little bit of cuntry that we bring to our gay gatherings (usually after the third sangria), and that we put in the pairs of Diesel we rock regularly.
It’s a match made in homo heaven.
