Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Another Diva Named Tyra

We’ve been dying to meet Tyra for what seems like an eternity. She’s beautiful. She’s outrageous. And she’s got balls! (And we’re jazzed to meet the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, too.)

Fans of RuPaul’s reality drag competition will definitely know Season Two winner Tyra Sanchez (née James Ross), who made an impact on the show with her killer fashions, delicious diva attitude and perhaps most shockingly, a four-year-old son. But above all, she’s the one who brought her A-game week in and week out and we’re happy she won the title and a chance to make some hefty tips. (Because that $25,000 grand prize ain’t much in the world of reality TV and sister needs some wig money.)

But the reality show is over and now with Absolut Vodka and DJ Mark Picchiotti on her team, she’s touring the country and bringing her Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent to cities everywhere.

Tonight, she’s in Big D (along with Mystique and the regular Rose Room cast).

After watching her all season, we can finally see her in person, giving a raucous performance that we’ll be talking about for days. Otherwise, we’re calling RuPaul (we’ve got her on speed dial) and demanding she be stripped of her crown. And her PR contract, too.

Oh yes, Tyra, that’s a challenge!
