Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Get To Uptown, Girls!

Now that the weather is finally cooling off, we can poke our heads out of our air-conditioned cocoons and see what this “outdoor” hubbub is all about.

All the suckers will be crammed into the State Fair of Texas this weekend, so we’re heading to the All About Uptown Festival to welcome the fall season in a slightly more sophisticated manner.

Plus, we’ll get to see more of Uptown than we normally do during our weekly “Judy Garland Clang, Clang, Clang Let’s Scare the Tourists on the Trolley” routine. (It’s like they’ve never seen a gay in Kabuki makeup singing on mass transit before).

Yes, there will be trolley rides, but also historic home and cemetery tours (loves us a cool headstone), artists and chefs giving demonstrations, pet contests, a fashion trend report and plenty of great live music.

Best of all, the whole shebang is free. We’ll probably head out there later in the evening because we’re so jazzed to see the Ritz-Carlton’s Joe Scigliano create his Frito Pie with Buffalo Smoked Chicken Chili and Chicken Fried Short Rib Lollipop at 5:00 p.m.

Because like we always say, “Nothing like a Frito Pie after a stroll through a graveyard.”
