Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

A Stiff 2.5 Inches

Back in the ’80s (and for a brief resurgence a couple years ago) it was cool to have your collars popped up in some sort of free-form expression of style. But other than that (or you’re Dracula), it’s really bad to have an unruly collar.

The collar stays that come with shirts are typically plastic and come back from the dry cleaner completely abused or MIA altogether. We’ve bought replacement ones at department stores, but if your collar’s already gotten a taste of freedom, there’s not much you can do to stop it from doing whatever the hell it wants.

At least before we discovered Power Stays from Würkin Stiffs. These handy metal stays come in 2-, 2.5-, and 3-inch lengths, but the secret is the magnetic buttons that go under your shirt to not only keep your collar stiff, but attached to your shirt. You get the look of a button-down without the ugly button. They even make them specifically for polo collars, too.

So now, next time you see us at an event, our collars will be as stiff as the drinks in our hands. And everyone will be better for it.
