Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Creek The Halls

There are few things as synonymous with Christmas as the Turtle Creek Chorale. Let’s face it, people are growing weary of the Man in Red. Eggnog is quickly losing favor. And that smelly animal with the glowing schnoz has completely worn out his welcome.

These days, when people want to get merry, they turn to a group of Merry Marys instead. Because when the TCC is involved, you’re guaranteed a good time.

Whether it’s staring fondly at the backside of the stunning Jonathan Palant as he directs the group, or dreaming of the entire chorale showing up at your front door to sing Christmas Carols and pretending you’re not at home, an evening with the TCC is fun with a capital Fa La La La La.

And then there’s the music. How could we forget the music? This year’s performance is titled O HOLY NIGHT, and we can’t wait to get our yearly dose of holiness. In addition to Silver Bells, Silent Night and the chorale’s famous Peace, Peace, we’ll finally learn if Jeanette Isabella ever showed up with that darn torch we keep screaming at her to bring. Run! Run! Run! (Clearly she succeeded or she wouldn’t be a motivational speaker now.)

This year, the chorale is returning home to the Meyerson Symphony Center after a year away and we hear the building is very excited. But not as jazzed as we are, so join us on Wednesday for the greatest Christmas pageant ever. Like for real.
