Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

We Three Kings (And Nearly 200 Queens)

Stop worrying about all the gifts remaining on your list. You still have four more days to get to that. Besides, we hear McDonald’s gift certificates are all the rage this year anyway. They even made Oprah’s list of favorite things. Or was it Gail’s? Either way, who doesn’t love a McRib?

Instead of fighting the crowds and mall-walkers in bad reindeer sweaters, take some time to actually enjoy the beauty, majesty and joy of the season with the Turtle Creek Chorale. They’re back at the Meyerson for their tradition-filled concert featuring plenty of Christmas favorites like Silver Bells, O Holy Night, Do You Hear What I Hear, and we’re crossing our fingers for Carrie Underwood’s Santa Take the Wheel.

For the first time ever, the TCC will be joined by the Texas Guitar Quartet. They tried to get the Little Drummer Boy, but evidently he’s not union. That’s ok, though, because we’ll take four talented guitarists over one tween noisemaker any day.

So join us tonight or Wednesday for the concert that thousands of people look forward to each year. If you’re not in the holiday spirit by the time you leave the Meyerson, it’s quite possible you have no soul. But that’s ok, too. Bring a few toys for the toy drive benefiting Children’s and Parkland Hospitals and you might just get one under the tree on Christmas morning. Fingers crossed!
