Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Razzling & Dazzling

We haven’t spent this many nights on the streets of Cedar Springs since we were just young twinkie hookers looking to make a buck, have a little fun and score ourselves a Lifetime movie of the week about our adventures. But we’ve grown older and wiser and now know that life isn’t so easy. It takes beauty-pageant toddlers committing multiple murders to score a movie deal these days.

Starting tomorrow, however, we’re jazzed that one of Dallas’ biggest gay parties is back and bigger than ever. Razzle Dazzle Dallas kicks off the summer season with nightly events that will keep us out of trouble. Well, at least the bad kind of trouble.

The full list of events can be found at www.razzledazzledallas.org, but we’ve already picked a few of our favorites.

Wednesday
Tomorrow is the Cedar Springs Merchant Association First Wednesday Wine Stroll and Dog Walk. For $5, buy a wine glass and enjoy free wine from participating merchants, great sales and discounts, as well as activities for the pooches.

Thursday
Thursday night features the Jagermeister Pub Crawl on a party bus between area nightclubs. Designated Driver in the hizzy!

Friday
You’ll also find us at the Metro Ball at S4 Nightclub on Friday night with a live performance by the spectacular Deborah Cox.

Saturday
Saturday afternoon, head out in the daylight when the street will be alive with artists and merchants. That night, it’s the big event we’ve been waiting to return. The Razzle Dazzle Street Festival is free with plenty of food and drinks for purchase, carnival games, go-go boys and girls, and a dance arena. Plus, multiple performers like our dreamy Cazwell (above) and local favorite Anton Shaw.

Sunday
Then, if you’re still craving more, Razzle Dazzle draws to a close on Sunday with a Tea Dance at TMC and the crowning of Mr. and Miss Razzle Dazzle at Brick Dallas.

There’s no reason to be bored the rest of this week, so put down the Words with Friends and get out into the real world. Then prepare to be dazzled. (The razzle is thrown in for free).

Most events free
MetroBall: $25 advance, $30 at door
VIP passport: $100
