Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Horny On A New Level

We just heard this really funny story.

Dad was telling us how he met our mom at church, thought she was pretty, then asked her out on a date. They hit it off and soon got married without even knowing whether she liked it on top or bottom, had a foot fetish or enjoyed the occasional poppers.

Thankfully, we don’t have to deal with such mysteries in modern dating adventures.

Every gay has heard of the hookup “social media” app Grindr, but now there’s a competitor ready to take over called Hornet. Sure, it’s very similar to Grindr, but they’ve made some huge improvements.

You can search for guys nearby via GPS or search a whole other city through the Explore feature. Profiles can feature multiple photos, both public and private. And jot notes down about a guy for quick reference later (i.e., wrote “sup?” too much).

Hornet also allows you to filter down to the exact type of guy you’re looking for, and even lets you hide your profile if you don’t want your nosy neighbors finding out you’re on the prowl. (Though you can still search and view others while in hiding.)

One of the more responsible features, however, is part of the KYS (Know Your Status) campaign. The app gives you a special badge if you’ve been tested recently and post your HIV status. Plus, it reminds you every six months to be re-tested.

No matter what you’re looking for on an app like this, it’s important to always be safe. And honest.

Hornet is currently only available for iPhone, so if you have another type of smart phone or blessyourheart one of those adorable flip phones, you may have to uncover details about hot men the old-fashioned way.
