Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Party Like It's 1922

Remember cramming all your friends into a tiny apartment, drinking cheap liquor out of generic plastic cups and dancing the Charleston?

Well, this is not that kind of party. Except for maybe the Charleston part.

This Sunday, AIDS Interfaith Network hosts The Great Gatsby (the cat’s meow!), a spectacular Sunday afternoon of eating, drinking and an overall grand celebration of the Roaring Twenties. And as you can see from the photo above, it’s not your ordinary house party. This one’s in a stunning Preston Hollow mansion.

Enjoy free-flowing booze and wine (good thing this isn’t Prohibition), along with delectable hors d’oeuvres from Doug Boster Gourmet Catering, Wendy Krispin Caterer and the Cupcakery.

Dress in your finest 20s garb (you know you’ve got a flapper dress somewhere in your costume closet), and enjoy swanky tunes from none other than one of Dallas’ favorite crooners, Hunter Sullivan.

With the sad news that we now have to wait another year for Baz Luhrmann’s lavish retelling of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic, we’re thrilled to have the next best thing right here in our own backyard.

OK, somebody else’s backyard. Even better.
