Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Slurp & Turf

Remember those See ’N Say toys we all had as kids?

Pull the string and the pig says, “Oink! Oink! Oink!”

The turkey goes, “Gobble! Gobble! Gobble!”

And the lamb screams, “Clarice, help me! Help me!”

But this Friday the cow says, “Moooooore Wine, Please!”

That’s because it’s time for one of our favorite annual events, the DIFFA/Dallas Burgers & Burgundy party, hosted by John Tesar, chef extraordinaire and one of the contestants on the upcoming season of Top Chef, too.

For one night only, you can sample burger sliders from the city’s best chefs, sip great wines paired expertly with each sandwich and enjoy specialty cocktails, too.

Typically, the event is at a huge public venue, but this year Burgers & Burgundy takes over a private home. That means a cozier atmosphere (ideal for mingling), but also fewer available tickets.

$75 gets all the burgers, wine and cocktails you can fit into your body. A $150 VIP ticket gets you all that, plus private patio seating, a private bar (shorter lines!) and exclusive butler service.

There are still tickets available in both categories, but you better act fast.

Because when you pull the string and the arrow lands on the picture of the happy guy with the bow tie, listen carefully.

The gay man says, “I simply must be at the most fabulous party in town!”

And sometimes, “Woof.”
