Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Some Fine Humbuggery

Every year, like clockwork, an event takes places that the holidays wouldn’t be the same without. Children gather in giddy anticipation. Smiles brighten across the faces of even the most jaded adults. And people the world over learn the lesson of how even the wealthiest among us can find the true holiday spirit.

Yes, it’s Oprah’s Favorite Things!

And this year, when those army spouses each got Tempur-pedic mattresses? We couldn’t stop crying.

But there’s another holiday tradition that generates near-equal excitement, especially this year as A Christmas Carol signals the end of an era for Dallas Theater Center.

Presenting Charles Dickens’ majestic holiday masterpiece for the final time at the Kalita Humphreys Theater before debuting a brand-new production next year at the company’s regular home, the Wyly, it’s going to be a bittersweet celebration.

Official opening night is this Friday, but previews of the musical sensation are already taking place nightly.

So be a part of Dallas theater history along with Scrooge, Marley and Tiny Tim.

You’re a terrible person if you don’t.
