Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Mussel Worship

There’s a great little restaurant tucked away in south Dallas that you should check out. As in today. Or tomorrow at the very latest.

It’s called Terrace Bistro inside the NYLO Dallas South Side Hotel.

The first reason to visit soon is because lunch is half price every Monday through Friday for a limited time.

Second, the food is worth paying full price. But why, if you don’t have to?

If you’re a mussel lover like we are, you’ll swoon over their three varieties here. Available in appetizer and entrée portions, they make for a great comfort dish on a cold day. Especially the Valencia style with Spanish chorizo and spicy lobster broth.

Our other favorite dishes include the fried rock shrimp and the seafood spaghetti (with tuna, mussels, scallops and swordfish), both huge bargains during this lunchtime special at $5 and $6 respectively.

Salads and sandwiches are plentiful, fresh and filled with creative twists.

The menu is extensive, but not so overly ambitious that Chef Jerry de la Riva can’t work wonders with every dish.

And with prices like these, working your way through the menu can be the most exciting challenge so far this year.

Second only to the challenge of keeping all the weight off after enjoying too much of his bacon-wrapped bacon.

Oh yeah, that’s a thing.
