Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Galleries A-Go-Go

dal-01_18_13

This is the “Week of the Bus” in Dallas apparently. First, we told you about Warby Parker selling designer glasses at great prices out of an old yellow school bus. And now, we bring you yet another. But this time, it’s a bus you can actually ride in.

Tomorrow morning, join CADD (Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas) as they transport you to several galleries and one private home to view some of the greatest paintings, sculptures, photographs and mixed media in the city. Even lunch is included.

Stops include PDNB Gallery (where you can see a collection of Gallery Director Burt Finger’s Vernacular Photography collection, above) Barry Whistler Gallery, The Reading Room and the home of collectors Dan and Lizzie Routman. Hypnotic Sushi provides the grub between stops.

It’s a great way to see a lot of art in a short amount of time. And with somebody else doing the driving, you’ll have time to sing songs and play “I Spy” with your fellow art lovers.

Just remember to board single-file, hold your gallery buddy’s hand and refrain from throwing spit wads.

Because getting thrown off an art bus would just be shameful.
