Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Rock On

Think outside the grocery store.

This weekend, the super-popular White Rock Local Market adds a new venue at Lakeside Baptist Church on Garland Road. The newlocation will alternate between the church and the market’s current venue outside The Green Spot, just a hop, skip and a jump away on North Buckner Boulevard.

Enjoy “Everything” market days the 1st and 2nd Saturdays of every month with food trucks, local farmers, growers, artisans and arts and crafters all selling their wares, while every 3rd and 4th Saturday it’s all about the food.

We find that it’s so much more satisfying to get fruits and vegetables from the people whose blood, sweat and green thumbs go into producing them.

Plus, it makes us feel so hip and urban when carrying our recyclable grocery totes and filling them with wild mushrooms, rainbow chard and hormone-free meats (you know, all the trendiest ingredients) before hopping on our Vespa and speeding off to the dog park.

Featuring more than forty growers and artisans (JuHa Ranch, Alpha Omega Farms, Good Earth Organic Farm, Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters), these parking lots transform into mini shopping malls filled with local goods.

And not a Forever 21 or H&M in sight.
