Easter is only four days away, but that’s plenty of time to get your glue gun out of its protective chamber and off its gold-encrusted pedestal. Because there are bonnets to be festooned and doggie costumes to be designed.
It’s all part of the long-standing tradition for gays to outdo everyone else in outrageous fashion at Lee Park for an afternoon of high-camp holiday fun.
Featuring live entertainment, a fur-flying pooch parade with multiple prize categories, and the aforementioned bonnet contest, Easter in the Park is one of our favorite religious-adjacent events of the year. And this time, you can reserve a 10×10 spaces to ensure that you and your gang will have a place to relax and enjoy the sights.
Food and beverages will be available for sale, but remember if you bring your own, no glass containers are allowed.
Bubble machines, confetti eggs and sexy bunny outfits, however — all perfectly acceptable.
