Hell isn’t some fiery place filled with demons and tortured souls. No, Hell is a cubicle.
Most of us have worked in one at some point and few things are as soul-crushing as those pre-fab dungeons of doom. So when we left the corporate world forever, we swore we’d never work in a cubicle again.
Thankfully, as writers we’re pretty nomadic. All we need is a laptop, a Wi-Fi hotspot and we can work from just about anywhere. And we know there are other occupations that afford this luxury, too.
So we’re thrilled to introduce you to a new concept recently opened in Oak Cliff called the Kessler Co-Op. This creative community workspace behind the Kessler Theatre is a totally cool office where brilliant minds congregate.
You can choose to occupy a permanent, private office space upstairs (a couple are still available), or work in the communal areas downstairs, all in monthly increments.
Benefits include access to the coffee bar and kitchen, conference and meeting space that seats up to 20, dedicated parking, private storage and use of the high-speed internet, HDTV and commercial projector.
It’s the best way to go to work everyday and feel like an adult. Because we’re tired of our friends thinking we work at Starbucks.
