Prepare yourself for what is likely the gayest musical ever. (Well, not counting the short-lived, soft-core, off-Broadway Seven Brides for Seven Sisters.)
No, we’re talking the Australian drag queen extravaganza, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, opening next Tuesday at the Music Hall at Fair Park, presented by Dallas Summer Musicals.
Based on the hit movie about three best friends embarking on a road trip across the Aussie outback, the jukebox musical features gay anthem faves including “It’s Raining Men,” “I Will Survive” and “Go West,” among dozens of others.
More importantly, there are more than 500 spectacular costume changes, including the flip-flop dress coveted ‘round the world.
It’s a singing, dancing, all-tucked-up night of fun. And we’ve got tickets for a few lucky readers.
Just call us your own personal Priscilla, Queen of the Freebie.
