Rest easy, vegans. Turtle Ball is not the latest State Fair food. Rather, it’s one of the biggest and best celebrations in the gay community.
This Saturday, join the Turtle Creek Chorale for their annual cocktail party fundraiser, which includes a spectacular silent and live auction. Up for grabs this year are a $1,000 shopping spree at JCPenney, a wine tasting getaway in California, a private suite at Lone Star Park for a day at the races, first class airline tickets to Europe on American Airlines, an iPad mini and a trip to Vegas, plus lots of other great items.
In addition to the high-end shopping experience, guests will be among the first to learn what’s in store for the 2013-2014 season from Artistic Director, Trey Jacobs. Fantastic food will be provided by the glorious Sharon van Meter, owner of 3015 at Trinity Groves, the location of the evening’s festivities.
Best of all, because there will be plenty of drinking to be had, Uber is offering guests free roundtrip rides in one of their posh town cars (full details below). That savings alone could pay for your ticket to the party. Talk about a win-win.
And if you walk away with one of the faboosh auction items? It’s a win-win-win. And if that auction item is the trip to Vegas and you hit the jackpot there? Then we’re looking at an unprecedented win-win-win-win.
We like those odds.
