It’s amazing what a little tequila can do for one’s creativity. And even more incredible what a lot of tequila can accomplish.

A couple months ago, we encouraged you to enter the Art of Patrón contest where tequila bottles are transformed into works of art and a possible $10,000 prize.

So in honor of this long holiday weekend, where much tequila will be consumed, we thought we’d share with you the 25 semi-finalists to give you inspiration for what to do with your empty bottles after all those pool parties you’ll be attending, throwing and/or crashing.

In the voting gallery, you’ll find Patrón bottles turned into everything from Menoras and bird feeders to camcorders and dancing robots.

And just so there’s something truly useful to get you through the weekend, we’ve included a recipe for a revamp of the classic Mojito that’ll make you wonder why we stopped drinking these seven years ago. Light, refreshing and delicious, it’s summer in a glass.

Happy Memorial Day!
