Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Wine & Bark

A dog-friendly party with free wine? Yes, please.

That’s the theme of tonight’s Dog Days of Summer Wine Hour at Hotel Palomar. Bring your four-legged friends, or simply show up with a gaggle of humans to raise money for SPCA of Texas.

You’ll be treated to complimentary wine, craft cocktails from mixologist Amber West and scrumptious nibbles from Central 214’s Chef Graham Dodds. There will be doggie snacks, too.

A costume contest for the best summertime pet attire will be judged in part by the hotel’s resident Director of Pet Relations, Higgins the Beagle. And guests can enjoy big discounts off dog-friendly room packages should a staycation be in order to escape the heat in the beautiful Palomar pool.

In addition to all the furry fiesta fun, the SPCA will have adoptable pets wagging their tails eagerly and giving goo-goo eyes to all who attend.

Consider that an enticement and a warning. Our last dog acquisition occurred in a wine-related adoption, so just be prepared to add another mouth or two to feed before the night is over.

We’re not complaining, though. A new pup is quite possibly the best party swag ever.
