Saving money: For some, it’s a hobby. For Steve Noviello, it’s a full-time job.
The handsome-as-heck gay stud is celebrating 10 years on KDFW Fox Channel 4, where he’s turned consumer reporting into must-see TV.
With his movie-star good looks, Clark Kent-like smarts and million-dollar smile (though he probably only paid $333,000 with a Groupon), he makes tip-giving hip and cool. His signature segments include Deal or Dud, where he tests out products (mostly as-seen-on-TV stuff) and reports on whether they’re worth the investment.
If only he could materialize any time we’re about to go on a date. (Though we suspect he’d get really tired of screaming, “DUD!”)
He’s also got advice for shoppers in Save Me, Steve and On Your Side. (FYI, we’d love him on our side. Also in our front. Definitely at our back.)
Tonight, join us at 9:30 p.m. by tuning in to Fox 4 for Decade of Deals, a special presentation that focuses on Steve’s significant contribution to the Dallas news scene and local pop culture, which has helped him earn him six Emmy Awards so far.
But we love Steve even more for what he does for our community. He’s frequently a host of Gay Bingo, he’s filmed his own “It Gets Better” video, and he’s always involved in fundraisers for local charities.
All this talk of savings has motivated us to invite him over to clip coupons with us. We’ll call the segment, Scissoring with Steve.
And we promise it won’t be a dud.
