When we saw Psycho the first time, it made a huge impact on us. Not only did we think the peephole between rooms was a completely genius idea, we also learned that scary things happen when women take showers.
So from that point forward, we’ve only ever taken showers with men as a safety precaution. And nothing even remotely frightening has happened yet. (Unless you count that one guy who had icky Irish Spring as his only soap option.)
Tonight, revisit the air-stabbing, cross-dressing, corpse-rocking classic in an outdoor screening on the patio outside the Angelika Film Center in Mockingbird Station for the final film of Hitchcock-tober. There will be Hitchcock-themed cocktails and snacks available for sale, so come thirsty and hungry.
The whole event is completely free and though there will be limited seating provided, you’re encouraged to bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
But please, leave your dead mother at home.
Unless you need to take the HOV lane to get there.
