The holiday season officially starts today. (Pay no attention to the fact that our next-door neighbors have had their light-up Santa Claus and reindeer up on their rooftop since Labor Day.)
No, we’re in full festive mode and donned in gay apparel extraordinaire after listening to Erasure’s merry new album, Snow Globe, out this week.
Featuring original compositions and seasonal classics (including Silent Night, The Christmas Song, White Christmas and Silver Bells), it’s an album that is joyous yet more subdued than most of the cheesy holiday offerings from other artists.
And that’s a welcome gift under the Christmas tree in our ears.
