Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to start our official holiday diet.
The plan consists of 30 minutes of cardio each day, strength training three times a week, and a really strict food regimen based on small portions and plenty of liquids. Or in laymen’s terms, nothing but hors d’oeuvres and cocktails until January 2.
We’re ramping up our dieting efforts tonight at a neighborhood open house, but things won’t really kick into gear until Thursday at the 5th Annual Red Ribbon Bash – Cocktails for a Cure, benefiting Resource Center in support of World AIDS Day. Because in our books, this is the first big soirée of the season.
Your $30 ticket includes valet parking, chef-crafted sweets and savories from Central 214, Red Ribbon desserts by The Original Cupcakery and signature holiday sparkle Red Ribbon cocktails.
Plus, there’ll be ornaments for sale supporting Resource Center programs and services, as well as fantastic auction items, including vacations to San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
Our money’s all going toward the San Diego bid.
Gotta get our holiday diet body into a swimsuit before we get back to those pesky three meals a day in 2014.
