Working out. Some of us love it. (Mostly because of the steam room, but that still counts, right?)

But we also know many of you hate, hate, hate going to the gym. And that equals a lot of wasted money on health club memberships.

Yet there’s an even bigger motivator to get you to the gym than the chance to see that hot blonde college guy naked in the locker room: cold hard cash.

You can earn it via GymPact, an app for iPhones and Android.

When you set up your account, you’ll commit to a certain number of days to work out. Commit to five days a week and you’ll get paid $2.50 if you achieve it. The app uses GPS to track your location and check in every few minutes to ensure that you’re actually still at the gym, preferably exercising, so there’s no logging in and running right back out the door.

Now, we realize that $2.50 per week ($3.50 if you commit to seven days) isn’t going to make you rich. The motivation lies less in the money you’ll earn and more in the money you’ll lose. Because you also must commit to a penalty between $5 and $50 for each day you fall short of your goal.

The charges go right to your credit card on file, and missed days can put a serious dent in your bank account.

Plus, if you’re broke and fat, you’ll never be able to lure Hot Blonde College Guy out on a date.

And that’s a lose-lose-lose situation we simply can’t risk.
