Even though the Proposition 8 nightmare is over, the NOH8 campaign that it spawned is bigger and more visible than ever.
The signature duct-taped mouth and facial tattoo images have become iconic and now’s your chance to pose for one of the famous photos.
Join us at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration this Wednesday (we know you’ll appreciate the advance notice to get your hair did and your spray tan freshened). The first time this congregation hosted a photo shoot, they had a record 840 participants so organizers are hoping to beat that record.
All you have to do is show up camera-ready (as if you’re ever not) and wear a plain white shirt.
When you arrive, you’ll receive a numbered model release to fill out, followed by having your temporary NOH8 tattoo applied. Your corresponding release number will signal your time to line up to have your photo taken.
Then smize and get ready to be a part of history.
Not to mention the opportunity to use duct tape in a way that’s more than a drag-queen punch line.
