For most of us, starvation is something we willingly subject ourselves to in order to fit into a swimsuit for our next gay cruise. For thousands of others, it’s a daily reality.
This Friday, head to the Meyerson Symphony Center for a lunch that’ll benefit you as much as it does others. It’s all part of the 15th Annual Empty Bowls, a fundraising event for the North Texas Food Bank.
The price of admission gets you a handcrafted bowl and access to food from more than 18 of the city’s best restaurants and caterers, including Empire Baking Co., Place at Perry’s, True Food Kitchen, Truluck’s Seafood, Steak & Crab House, and Zoli’s NY Pizza Tavern.
You definitely won’t leave hungry. And just by attending, the North Texas Food Bank will ensure that several local families get the healthy meals they deserve, too.
Win-Win and all that good stuff.
