Easter Sunday is a great time to get out and enjoy a beautiful spring day with friends and family, regardless of religious affiliation or belief in egg-hiding rabbits.
The forecast is only calling for a teeny chance of rain, so we’re planning to head to Lee Park for the holiest of Sunday Fundays.
It wouldn’t be Easter without a bunch of bitches in bonnets. Or dogs in costume. Catch both at the Pooch Parade, hosted by the always hilarious, never catty Paul J. Williams and Steve Kemble. Register online until Saturday or in person prior to the noon start at Lee Park.
Then stick around for one of the gayest events of the year, Easter in Lee Park, when hordes of homos camp out on blankets or in elaborately decorated tents to eat, drink and show off their Easter finest. There’ ll be food and booze vendors, as well as live entertainment to keep the party going all afternoon.
Once they start shooing people out of the park, head to the strip for plenty of bunny-themed afterparty shenanigans at the bars.
And before you forget, might want to ask your boss for Monday off.
Or just set an alarm now to call in sick.
