Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Sip. Stay. Good Dog.

When we see a tail wagging, it makes us happy—but only if it’s attached to a dog. Twerking still does nothing for us.

Next Tuesday, we’ll be surrounded by happy pooches and the generous people who love them at the third annual Kibble & Cocktails. And it’s going to be bigger than ever.

Presented by Barking Hound Village, doggie hotel to the stars (and us), the event has raised more than $30,000 for DFW Rescue Me’s Voices of Justice in its first two years. Created in honor of a dog that was brutally abused, the program educates children on how to properly treat animals and prevent future abuse.

This year, Kibble & Cocktails moves to the fab 3015 at Trinity Groves, our favorite event space in town.

There, Amberjax, Nick & Sam’s, Steel, Nonna, Zoli’s Pizza, Resto Gastro Bistro, Dread Head Chef and Sharon Van Meter will cook up tasty bites to accompany vino from Bottled Poetry Wines and cocktails custom crafted with Milagro Tequila, Monkey Shoulder Scotch and Reyka Vodka from the vast portfolio of William Grant & Sons.

Auction and raffle items include Southwest Airlines tickets, hotel stays in Austin and Dallas, restaurant and retailer gift cards, custom portrait paintings and lots of doggie-related goodies.

Because there’ll be an open bar, we encourage everyone to utilize Uber. They’ve even created a custom code (KC2014) for anyone attending to save 20% to and from the event.

After all, if you adopt one of the cuddly dogs from the event, you’re gonna want to make sure you both get home in one piece.
