Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Neonward & Upward

Coming out is a brave act, regardless of who you are. But when a public figure announces his homosexuality, we believe that’s even braver because there’s often more to lose.

Fortunately, gay pop singer is a pretty widely accepted genre.

We’ve loved Neon Trees since their debut, yet when gay (and Mormon!) lead signer, Tyler Glenn, came out of the closet last month, it made us even more infatuated with the upbeat pop group.

Their new album, Pop Psychology, is a study in the powerful combination of new wave, pop and dance music, each song an immediate toe-tappin’, sing-along anthem of jubilation. (The occasional introspective ballad thrown in for variety.)

Their U.S. tour in support of this album kicks off on May 12 in Nashville and we can’t wait for them to roll through our town.

After all, we hear Tyler’s single.

And we’ve always been curious about that whole magic underwear thing.
