Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Veggies For Fruits

dal-06_03_14

Farmers don’t typically frequent the gayborhood. Probably because we get hostile at the sight of overalls and misplaced gingham.

But starting this Saturday, purveyors of fruits, veggies, honey, baked goods, dairy and meat products will be on hand at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church for the second season continuing through August 30.

As much as we love cruising the produce section of the Kroger on Cedar Springs, there’s something quaint about returning to nature to exchange phone numbers over a bushel of Brussels sprouts.

Oak Lawn United Methodist Church is a year-round fixture in the community and they welcome LGBT members with open arms.

Encouraging us to eat our vegetables is just one more perk.
