Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Savage Pride

Though we still have 10 days until the big parade, Pride in the city officially starts tonight.

That’s because Uptown Players is putting on its annual Dallas Pride Performing Arts Festival, nine days celebrating the LGBT experience in all its many forms.

The festival begins tonight with The Last Session, a play that was part of Uptown Players’ very first season, and ends with Savage Love Live, a special presentation featuring the It Gets Better campaign founder and celebrated sex columnist Dan Savage in the flesh.

In between are plays that range from the heartbreaking to the outright hilarious, with Mythical Beastie by Bruce. R. Coleman, From White Plains by Michael Perlman, Commencing by Jane Shephard, Falling Man by Will Scheffer and the multi-wig, one-man show Dysfunctional Divas by Steven Jay Crabtree.

See one or see them all.

Because as you know, our pride knows no limits.
