Life’s too short to eat bad food. And it’s way too short to pass up the opportunity to dine on delectables from James Beard Award winners.
This Friday, join fellow food enthusiasts at A Night of Culinary Stars, an event benefiting the James Beard Foundation in partnership with Cafe Momentum.
It all starts with a reception filled with bites and beverages from local chefs, including Tim Byres (Smoke), Omar Flores (Casa Rubia), Matt McCallister (FT33), Janice Provost (Parigi) and David Uygur (Lucia).
The main event, of course, is a dinner by James Beard Award winner Patrick O’Connell from Washington, Virginia and our own local recipient of the same coveted honor, Stephan Pyles (Stephan Pyles, Stampede 66 and San Salvaje), one of our city’s most prominent gay celebrities.
It’s a multi-course meal with a lively program filled with surprises, all hosted by another community favorite, the adorable Ron Corning from WFAA Channel 8.
The meal isn’t cheap, but as all gay men these days know, beards are all the rage.
Especially James Beards.
