You could go to the State Fair of Texas this weekend, ponder the size of Big Tex appendages and spend well more than $100 to sample a few of the latest fried thingamagoobers and a couple 12-coupon beers.
Or you could spend that same C-note for a really good cause. Plus all the burgers, wine and cocktails you could possibly handle. Spend an extra $50 for exclusive seating, butler service and a private bar and you’ll be the VIPest of them all.
It’s all part of our favorite annual meat-and-greet, Burgers & Burgundy, benefiting DIFFA/Dallas for a sixth year.
Led by Chef John Tesar, a gaggle of Dallas’ best chefs are challenged to create a delectable burger and pair it with a fine burgundy. At each station, you’ll find everything from tricked-out beef creations to the famed sandwich made with wild game, seafood or veggies. It’s all up to the chefs to think outside the grill.
You’ll find tree-to-tree gays (because there are no walls) on the lawn at a gorgeous private home in Preston Hollow.
Far, far away from ShamWows, carnies and Tilt-a-Anythings.
Because this is a drinking event, we encourage everyone to take Uber to/from the celebration.
