Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

A Whole Weekend Of Gay TV

Halloween is over, but we’re still getting treats.

Treats in the form of three big gay TV shows, all premiering this weekend.

We’re most excited about the long-awaited return of HBO’s The Comeback, which is one of those shows that gay men embraced nearly a decade ago when the first season originally aired. (And we thought we had to wait a long time between seasons of The Walking Dead.) Now, nine years later the show is back for a second season and funnier than ever, thanks to gay creator Michael Patrick King and star Lisa Kudrow back in prime form.

Over on LOGO, The Straight Out Report is a weekly show that finds gay man Stephen Guarino and straight dude Mike E. Winfield giving their take on the week’s biggest news and pop culture headlines. Sorta like Fox News, but, you know, much more fair and balanced.

Then there’s CNN’s entry into the gay scene this weekend as This Is Life with Lisa Ling explores the world of gay rodeos and how they unite a community and shatter stereotypes at the same time. With sexy cowboys thrown in for good measure.

It’s enough gay TV to keep us well informed and even more entertained.

Best of all, these shows will each distract us a bit from this week’s election results, too.
