Put Some Gay In Your Day!

Roll Your Own

Making sushi is a really fun experience and an ideal date-night event.

We doubt if we’d ever really go to the trouble to make it at home, but it’s nice to know that we now possess the skills to combine fish and rice in delicious, creative ways.

The gayborhood’s go-to sushi spot, Steel Restaurant & Lounge, presents Sushi Making 101 on Saturday, July 25. The popular event will likely sell out, so that’s why we’re giving you plenty of notice to secure a place in in the fishy class.

For just $45, you’ll learn how to prepare sushi rice, break down a whole fish, slice fish properly, and assemble Nigiri sushi and Maki rolls. You’ll be given a sushi making kit and recipes, as well as a cocktail, glass of wine or sake.

At the end of the class, you’ll eat everything laid out in front of you.

Same thing that got us kicked out of biology during frog dissection week.
