At first, the idea of a 1,000-foot-long slip-and-slide sounded like a tortuous way to spend a hot afternoon.
Then we saw the photos of Slide the City attendees in other cities and suddenly, we can’t think of a more appealing adventure. Just check out a few of our favorites within this story. All you have to do is register (you’ll save a bit if you don’t wait until the day of), bring an inflatable tube (or inflatable slice of pizza, killer whale or pink flamingo) and get ready to get soaking wet.
There’ll be live music, food and drinks. Plus, all sliders are encouraged to bring water buckets, floaties, and water guns (non-realistic of course) to add to the existing water levels.
Best of all, for the Dallas event, Slide the City is partnering with USACares, an organization that provides financial and other support to post-9/11 military families.
Now that’s a cause we can get our Speedo behind.
