Never underestimate the production value of a “DJ set.”

We learned that while attending SXSW and stumbled upon an outdoor performance by Zedd, one of the biggest electronic dance music producers and DJs on the scene. It was one of the biggest spectacles we’ve seen this side of a Lady Gaga or Madonna concert. Epic, visually stunning, loud and full of positive energy.

This Saturday he’ll be performing to support his latest album, True Colors, outside the South Side Ballroom and we expect it will be equally over-the-top.The DJ has come out publicly in support of LGBT equality, which means there will probably be even more gays at the show than usual.

Meaning this whole EDM thing could soon really take off in the community.
