Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Grrrr Crazy

dal-03_09_16Wednesday is the official first day of Bear Season in Dallas!

For five days, big, beefy, handsome men will descend upon the city for the 21st Texas Bear Roundup. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras and we’re pretty sure there’ll be plenty of opportunities to earn some beads the old-fashioned way.

Events include a masquerade ball, a winery tour, an indoor pool party, BearDance, an underwear competition, the Mr. TBRU contest, Naughty Bear Bingo, a barbecue at the Round-Up, and a field trip to Midtowne Spa among the highlights.

Gay bars all over the city will roll out the fur carpet to welcome all these delightful men and their legion of fans, so check out the full schedule to see where the action will be all week. Pre-registration is closed, but you can purchase tickets to events at the door or contact customerservice@tbru.org to see if there are still openings for certain excursions and activities.

It’s definitely the best time of year to see bears in their natural habitat.

Here’s hoping we can trap one of our very own.

He’s released three videos so far (“Wild,” “Fools” and “Talk Me Down”) and […]

First loves are always magical. But they can also be filled with drama, intrigue and a disco soundtrack. That’s exactly what you’ll find in Tim Parks’ first novel, The Scheme of Things, a coming-of-age story filled with plenty of twists, turns and schemes, many of which are fueled by young protagonist Henry Dodge watching too many 1980s nighttime soaps. When […]
