We don’t have to wait for the bellowing of Big Tex to get our fill of Fritos pies, funnel cake and ice-cold beer. We just have to leave our Dallas bubble.
But not by much.
This weekend, Taste Addison returns to Addison Circle Park with more than 30 restaurants, 13 bands and a marketplace bursting with food-related gifts and goodies.Best of all, you can view the full menu ahead of time to figure out which restaurants are serving beer for the fewest coupons. Or follow your food cravings to the exact booth you need.
Tastings start at just a buck for things like pulled pork sliders and chicken skewers and go up to nine bucks for a full Texas Wagyu burger, but most food falls in the $3-$6 range. As far as music, the big headliner for the weekend is Grammy Award-winning The Band Perry (pictured at top), with tribute bands offering up tunes from The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews and Journey.
Taste Addison is one of our favorite food fests because it’s big enough to provide tremendous variety, but small enough to easily navigate without wearing a hole in our sneakers.
Or walking too many steps between Michelob Ultra refills.
