Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Wrapped In A Bowie

Well, we made it. 2017. No more having to read about how crappy 2016 was.

Instead, we’re going to look ahead while celebrating the positive in our lives.

This weekend, however, the celebrations will be a little bittersweet as we remember the greatness that was David Bowie at the Texas Theatre. The tribute to the legend, Forever Bowie–A Birthday Salute to Our Rock n’ Roll Messiah, spans two nights.

dal-01_03_172On Friday, kick things off with Bowie Scaraoke with DJ Mr. Rid in the Saloon and belt out your favorite hits (and lesser-known gems). Then come back on Saturday for an epic Bowie-themed dance party and birthday countdown, complete with costumes and a duo of deejays (Micheal J. Rox and George Quartz).

Both events are free, so it’s a perfect post-holiday chance to get back in a festive groove.

Besides, there’s nothing wrong with daydreaming about a life on Mars these days.
