Cabernet. Cabaret. Repeat.
Cabernet. Cabaret. Repeat.
Cabernet. Cabaret. Repeat.
That’s our motto starting tonight when one of our all-time favorite performers and Uptown Players scene-stealer, Denise Lee (pictured above), kicks off the third season of the live music series, “Life Is a Cabaret” at the Women’s Museum Building at Fair Park. Tonight’s Valentine’s Day-themed show, Where’s My Candy?, puts the talented performer in the middle of some all-time great love songs and other February 14-appropriate content.
Next week (and every third Tuesday), the cabaret series moves to Two Corks and a Bottle. The February 21 theme is very current and appropriate for our protest-heavy times: The Struggle Is Real: The Music and Words of Civil Rights.
Each week the show changes, but one thing remains constant: Denise Lee is a force of nature and the woman we consider the undisputed Queen of Dallas Cabaret.
So come on and join us, old chums. Come to the cabaret.
