Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

South-of-the-Border Pride

Our continued quest to experience Pride in different places all over the world has taken us from Norfolk’s boat parade to the clothing optional resorts of Palm Springs.

This year, however, we’ve turned our sights to Puerto Vallarta, which celebrates Pride in late May, meaning we can still hit another Pride festival in the month of June when much of the world celebrates. But we don’t have time to think about that just yet. Instead, we’re already concentrating on back waxing, liposuction and spray tans to get us beach-ready before we board our flight to PV’s sunny shores.

The Vallarta Pride celebration kicks off on Sunday, May 21 with a welcome party at Mantamar Beach Club, Bar & Grill and closes the following Sunday with a bon voyage fiesta at the same spot. In between, we’ll be hitting up the Drag Derby (pictured) in the streets of the Zona Romantica, the Wednesday evening Pride parade, as well as foam parties, glow parties, pool parties and booze cruises galore.

Puerto Vallarta already ranks in our Top 5 return-visit destinations because of the friendly locals, beautiful scenery and lively gay scene, so we can’t wait to finally experience the gayest event of the year.

And if Trump’s wall goes up while we’re there, we’re more than happy to be trapped indefinitely with our Mexican friends.

As long as we still have access to a pool and waiter service.
