If reincarnation exists, we would like to officially put in our request to come back in the next life as a dog owned by a gay man. Or anyone in the LGBT community for that matter.
Because it seems that we all dote on our furry friends justaweebit more than the average dog owner.
That’s why we have been taking our four-legged bitches to the original Barking Hound Village near Love Field for years now. So when we learned that they were opening a second North Texas spot closer to home, we humped the nearest leg we could find in excitement.
Barking Hound Village Central debuted earlier this summer (you may remember us telling you about their free-booze open house several weeks ago) and it’s cut our doggie transportation time by a third. Located near SMU on Dyer Street, the super-luxe doggie daycare and all-suite hotel facility exceeds any place we’ve experienced in town. Indoor and outdoor facilities mean that dogs get exercise regardless of weather and when it’s really hot, they even have the option of splashing around in a shallow pool with their skinny-dipping pooch pals.
Staffed by a team of people as crazy about dogs as we are (if not more so), we know that our babies will be treated with care and affection—not to mention come home wonderfully exhausted so we can get a really great night’s sleep for a change.
All dogs must be approved for boarding, which means you can worry less about any incidents with dogs who are less than social with their canine compadres. And, of course, they all have to be current on their vaccinations.
We also enjoying popping on Facebook during the day to look for snaps of our pups romping with their new friends.
