Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

A Toast To Restaurant Week

If you listen carefully, you can hear it: the sound of a million people’s stomachs growling collectively.

DFW Restaurant Week officially kicks off August 7 (with previews starting August 4) and more than 130 eating establishments from Al Biernat’s to Zatar will be participating this 20th anniversary year. You can enjoy multi-course meals starting at $20 during lunch or $39 to $49 during dinner. Twenty percent of each meal benefits North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope with a goal of $1 million to add to the $7.5 million already raised to date.

If you can’t wait until August 4 to dine at restaurants that have been on your must-visit list, you should check out the DFW Restaurant Week Food & Wine Night kick-off event next Thursday, August 3 at One Arts Plaza. Advance tickets are $50 for general admission or $80 for VIP, which gets you access to food, spirits, beer and wine samplings an hour earlier, plus complimentary valet. Of course, we recommend Uber or Lyft if you plan to drink.

Singer Linda Eder will provide the soundtrack to cover up all the chewing, crunching, slurping and sipping.

But at least there won’t be any more stomach growling.
